Justin Collins - What an inspiration!





How important being fit for you?


Being fit is everything to me. I feel horrible when I feel fat, lazy or out of shape.. If I ever got that way, I’d be depressed. I feel like the better you look, the better you feel, the better people treat you and the better your life is. Think about attraction. People will do so much for you because of attraction so it’s just important to try and look & feel as best as you can, not to mention is great for your health as well. Not only that, when you are fit, you tend to have better sex because the blood is always flowing and you have more inner energy.. This goes for women too ;)



Describe your workout routine?

Okay, well my routine always changes every couple of months. Right now I’m doing very high repetitions with extreme burnouts.. For instance if I’m doing squats. I’ll do 4 sets of 20 reps and on my last set I will lower the weight and do an extra 15-20 reps so my legs are really burning. The more it burns the more results you get.

Monday – weights, cardio in morning & Brazilian jiu jitsu at night

Tuesday- weights , cardio & maybe another BJJ class

Wed – weights & bjj class

Thursday – cardio 

Friday -  cardio & bjj class

Sat- Weights / Plyometric leg workout

Sun – rest



Describe your eating habits?

Okay so I pretty much eat very Paleo. Which means mostly meats with veggies and all my carbs have no Gluten. I try and sty away from processed crap as well. Typical day.

Breakfast: 5 eggs ( only 2 yolks) w/ 2 slices of gluten free toast with a little cream cheese on it. And a side of pinapples and ¼ of avocado

Gym:  After gym I always have a whey protein shake.


Lunch : Any type of meat and veggies with gluten free carbs



Snack: protein shake or nutts.



Dinner: Meat, Veggies



Snack: protein shake or maybe some 3 eggs and gluten free toast







Which one is more important – workouts or eating healthy?

Eating is the most important thing.. If you just eat healthy, you can easily be skinny. My philosophy though is, skinny people look good in cloths and fit people look good naked. So which is most important to you?

Working out is what gives your body shape and sexy curves in all the right spots.. But I see so many people mainly girls saying that when they workout they gain weight and get big legs and arms, blah blah blah.. There ignorance to due to bad eating habits and drinking on weekends is keeping there size up. If you do not eat right, you definitely can put on size while working out.. Basically just gaining more fat and on top of muscle at the same time. 





What is your opinion about food supplements?

Supplements are great.. All depends on your  goals & age on what to take.. Wish women, I recommend just a nice non artificial sweetened whey protein shake to have after there workouts + as a snack mixed with fruit.. I also recommend some BCAA’s & glutamine to help your muscles recover.. That’s all they need.



What is your favorite exercise?

Okay I love nice legs and butt so SQUATS 100%. Plus you burn the most calories when doing them because you use more than just your legs if you are doing them correctly. Make sure you have someone teach you technique before you attempt them.

Plyometric jumps.= all kinds of jumps, all day everyday.. Great for the legs.

Incline Dumbbell Press – for a nice chest and arms

Rows – to get  a very sexy back.. This goes out to women too. Having a nice strong back helps your posture and makes your chest look bigger while making your whole physicue very 

sexy.

 

What would you recommend to people who want to start working out, but don’t know where to start from?

Ahh, if you have no clue what to do I recommend you get a personal train to set you up on a program. Form is every important so you don’t want to just workout with your friends who are clueless. If you have the drive all the information is free on the internet. You can simply look up good workouts and then youtube the names of the workout techniques to learn good form.  I also don’t recommend doing the typical guy/girl workout. You know

Guy: They go to the bench Press, bicep curls , little machine stomach exercises

Girls: They do cardio for 30mins to an hour then do machine leg press and maybe abductor  exercises mixed with crunches..

It’s very important to do Full body workouts every week. Don’t just focus on 1 part of your body. You want to get full results, do your full body.
